December is the twelfth and final month of the Gregorian calendar and the first month of winter. It derives its name from the Latin word decem, meaning ten, as December was the tenth month of the oldest Roman calendar. The Latin name is derived from Decima, the middle Goddess of the Three Fates who personifies the present.

NCA:
Are you interested in helping keep events alive and enjoy what this community has to offer. We are planning on having elections for our Community Association December 10. Come and help make a difference ~ Do you like our events? Do you have some ideas that could help our community? Do you have a couple hours each month and want that feeling of “giving back”? Maybe this is a perfect spot for you. Come to our meeting Tuesday December 10, at Bridges in downtown Lake Nebagamon, starts at 6pm. We have been busy with the Annual Community Halloween Party, Annual Tree Lighting plans, and Annual “Light up the Lake” contest. Coming up will be our Spaghetti Feed fundraiser for 4th Fest and the time of year to get everyone back to FREE roller skating at the auditorium. Do you think the village should have something we don’t offer? Maybe start here and let us know what you would like to see change or be added.

Looking for another successful year decorating our area. Time to show off your talents and have some fun lighting up our area!

Drop your name and address at Midland Services before December 21st. Map will be available the week of Christmas for judging. Anyone interested in judging grab a map and drop off your winning choices at Midland before close of day (3pm) December 24.

MISSION STATEMENT: To welcome new businesses, community groups and citizens of Lake Nebagamon, Wi to participate in the promotion of the community. Our objective is to work together to inform Lake Nebagamon, Wi area of local news.

MEETINGS: We meet the second Tuesday of each month, at 6:00pm at local area businesses. Everyone is welcome.

NEWS SUBMISSIONS: DEADLINE is the 20TH OF EACH MONTH.

TRINITY COOKIE SALE:
Trinity Lutheran Church will be having a Christmas Cookie Sale on December 7thfrom 9:30am-noon. Stop in and purchase your holiday sweets by the pound.

VINTAGE QUILTING:
St. Anthony Church vintage quilting group meets the first Monday each month at 10am. Come join our group and see what we have to offer.

In a rotation you can find live music at all the establishments in this area. Watch Facebook or the monthly calendar enclosed for schedules. There is so much to do in our area so get out and enjoy what we have to offer here.

Zoning Commission Meetings: Last Wednesday each month (Auditorium 6:30pm)
