NEBAGAMON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION:
Throughout this newsletter there are comments and words about our mission statement, meetings, the NCA etc. We really need to get word out and get some members involved. No need to feel you need to be at each meeting but we need volunteers and bodies to help with the events in our area. It seems groups, clubs, civic organizations and public service is a thing of the past. Lake Nebagmon has so much to offer in our area but it’s the same people doing so much to try to keep things alive. If you find you have any ideas or time you would like to be involved this is a perfect way to jump on board. As a group we have decided to have our monthly meetings at area businesses. Our meetings are usually about an hour, but we have so much on the agenda to provide fun events and things to make the community strong and keep things active. 2018 Forth of July fireworks were amazing! So much postie feedback came from the entire community. We want to keep events such as this going, and going strong. We have some very busy activities during the summer and could always use more ideas and help. We set up vendors in the auditorium last year and again there was wonderful feedback. We have been having more and more reserve spaces to come join this vendor area and those from last year to return. Free skating at the auditorium has been a hit this winter and we plan to keep this alive thru April and then take a break thru summer and hoping to return again in September. Again looking for volunteers to work the concession stand and to be around to hand out skates and play the games as we have been doing the “Limbo”, “Corner Game”, “Hula Hoop Contest”, some mad skills needed for “Red Light, Green Light.” The children that have been coming sure have a great time. Lets see if we can have more involvement to keep this all going strong. See you at Sidelines on Tuesday April 9, 2019 at 6pm.
