MAY FUN:
• The birthstone for May is the emerald which represents success or love.
• The zodiac sign for May are Taurus (April 20 – May 20) and Gemini (May 21 – June 20).
• The birth flower for May is the Crataegus monogyna and the Lily of the Valley.
• On May 1, 1931, the Empire State Building was officially opened.

NORTHWESTERN NEWS;
May 24th Graduation Day! Congratulations to all seniors entering a new life chapter. After the graduation ceremony the class of 2019 will stay for the overnight chemical free party taking place at the high school.

BOTTENS GREEN ACRES GOLF COURSE:
Spring is in the air and we are back open for business. Friday Fish Fry 5pm-9pm, breakfast on Sunday’s (8am-1pm). Beginning Memorial Day weekend (May 25) breakfast will be served on Saturday’s (8am-noon) and Sunday’s (8am-1pm) thru the summer. Save the date for the Fairway to Heaven Live Music Event, Friday July 5. Doors open at 2pm with music starting at 3pm. Tributes to Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, Elton john, Journey and Boston. Tickets go on sale Friday May 3rdat the golf course and other area businesses.

NORWOOD ACRES GOLF COURSE:
Fish Fry has started for the season!! Enjoy all you can eat for $14.95. Not a fan of fish? Try soup and salad or order a pizza. League updates online or call the clubhouse for details.

We are always looking for volunteers or those willing to come to meeting to keep our events alive.

Summer hours to be starting soon… As of May 24 we will be open again Friday, Saturday and Sundays. Stop in to shop our products and have a snack while you’re here.

MISSION STATEMENT: To welcome new businesses, community groups and citizens of Lake Nebagamon, Wi to participate in the promotion of the community. Our objective is to work together to inform Lake Nebagamon, Wi area of local news.

MEETINGS: We meet the second Tuesday of each month, at 6:00pm at local area businesses. Everyone is welcome.

LAKE NEBAGAMON FIRE DEPARTMENT:
The Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Fire Department is in full swing to prepare for the annual Dragin Tail walk/run fundraiser. The Volunteer Fire Department could use some volunteers to help during the race and with the Chinese Auction. If you would like to donate some time for this event they can accept messages through Facebook page “Lake Nebagamon Volunteer Department” or email at run@dragintail.com.
