MISSION STATEMENT:
The Nebagamon Community Association (NCA), founded in 1976 as a non-profit organization to promote business, cultural, and social activities for residents of all ages, and general community improvement projects. It is a 501(C)(3).
The community association serves all of the surrounding Towns and Village with activities for all.
ACTIVITIES:
The Nebagamon Community Association is working with new members to establish activities for all in the Community and to get back to the basics of having some old time entertainment for everyone. We are a Community with a population of 1,080 that triples in the summer with all of the seasonal residents. The Community Association, which had very little activity in the past year, decided in August of 2017 to start getting involved again and started meeting monthly. We are working on a Community calendar along with getting the newsletter up and running again.
Our first big event was the Halloween party on October 31st which was a great success with the help of many volunteers. The party turned out to be an old fashioned party with all the games and activities. Many volunteers made this a big success and for our first try it was wonderful to see the participation from the public.
Here is a list of some of the activities which have been accomplished by the Community Association over the years:
Family fun night, movie night, community theater, summerfest, community church service, patriotic singing on the beach, talent contest, queen contest, newsletter, website advertising, chili contest, street dances, old fashioned kids games, annual tree lighting, Superior singers, ice cream social, Tamburitzans, meet and greet, bingo, magician performances, corn roast, community calendar, cloggers, Finnish singers, small carnival, circus. We also have purchased curtains for the auditorium, purchase of sound equipment, and Christmas caroling - just to name a few!
GOALS:
Our goal is to work together with businesses and community with involvement for all by means of a community calendar and newsletter.
